We are proud to announce the addition of a highly respected physician to our care team. Susan Newman, MD, a board-certified Family Medicine physician, joins the clinic to provide comprehensive, relationship-based care to patients in her hometown of Grand Island, Nebraska.
A native of Grand Island and graduate of Grand Island Senior High (Class of 2002), Dr. Newman brings more than 11 years of experience serving families in the local community. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln and completed her medical degree at the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Her residency through the University of Nebraska Primary Care Program focused on rural medicine and community-based care—values that remain central to her practice today.
Dr. Newman is known for her compassionate approach, patient advocacy, and dedication to helping individuals understand and take control of their health. She was named Best Physician of Grand Island in 2020 and continues to be recognized for her excellence and integrity in family medicine.
“I’m thrilled to join Vibrance Family Health, where I can care for patients in a more connected and meaningful way,” said Dr. Newman. “This clinic’s Direct Primary Care model allows me to truly listen, build relationships, and support each patient without the time constraints and frustrations of traditional systems. It’s healthcare the way it should be—personal, accessible, and transparent.”
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Newman to the Vibrance family,” said Katie Peters, APRN, FNP-BC, Founder of Vibrance Family Health + Care. “Her clinical expertise, deep roots in the community, and passion for truly personalized care make her a perfect fit for our mission. We know our patients will feel her dedication from the very first visit.”
When she’s not caring for patients, Dr. Newman enjoys life with her husband and four children. She loves reading, drinking great coffee, and exploring new destinations—already having visited 36 out of 50 U.S. states.
